According to Vivencias Travel data, the destinations Chileans prefer for summer 2025-2026 are: Brazil (Búzios, Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis, Camboriú), Argentina (with Bariloche at the front), Peru, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
Brazil: the undisputed king
"Brazil is the main trend. More Chileans travel to Brazil over the summer than Brazilians visit Chile," says Lucas Lopes, Head of Sales at Vivencias Travel. Trips average between 6 and 8 nights.
Argentina wakes up
After a few years of lower traffic, Argentina is firmly back on the radar. Bariloche is leading the recovery — especially for student trips and family tourism — followed by Buenos Aires, Mendoza and the Atlantic coast.
